Virginia May (Gaskell) Urban, 84, formerly of Turnpike Road, a retired pianist who performed throughout the United States and Canada with heshusband, a violinist, died Tuesday at a focal nursing home. 1 She made her musical debut as classical pianist at Carnegie Hall. in New York City in 1947.

She was a guest pianist with the Miami Orchestra and was past president of the Miami Musicians Club. She taught classical piand in the Miami area for many yours, retiring in the mid 1980s. Hayes, at 81; decorated Army veteran NORTHAMPTON Daniel Emerson Hayes, 81, of this city, a decorated war hero, died Wednesday at a local nursing home. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served in the European Theater as a forward assault gun unit commander with the 743rd Tank Battalion. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals and was discharged with the rank of captain. He worked for Carter Oil and Sohio Petroleum retiring from the latter after. 25 years.

Born in Hutchinson, he graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1947 with a degree in petroleum geology. He was a member of Sigma Gamma Epsilon, honorary geological fraternity. He was a member of Westminster Church, the Society of Independent Professional Earth Scientists, the Oklahoma City Geological Society, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Mayfair Club, and Kirkpatrick Colloquies. He served on the boards of the YMCA Camp Classen and the Visiting Nurses Association. 1 He received the J.C.

Penney Golden Rule Award, the Support Center of Oklahoma Impact of One Award, Volunteer of the Year from the state of Oklahoma, board member of the year from the Oklahoma Visiting Nurse Associationand the National Visiting Nurses Association and the Area Wide Aging Agency Outstanding Older Oklahoman Award.
