Uni Cornelius/Cometcare AU (2024)

Uni Sock Cornelius Comet or simply Uni, is one of the survivors, and one of the Comet Parents on the Cometcare AU.

Biography[]

Uni Cornelius Comet is one of the Comet parents. She is a freelance online illustrator that does commission work and occasionally contributes to indie projects like zines or professional comic covers or graphics for websites. Alongside art, she also runs a Zims KneeTube channel where she does streaming, letsplays, builds, and news videos for the Zims and occasionally other life simulation games (but Zims is what she's most known for). Her channel was created in 6017. She also likes to sew clothes for her family.Uni is the most open-hearted person most people know and really empathetic and compassionate and good at supporting others, and everyone feels comfortable with her and trusts her a lot, even the kids that aren't hers find they can easily confide in Uni just because she's so easy to talk to. She's also a bit of a "cool mom" because she's very in tune with modern media and such, being an internet presence, which also adds a lot to the kids feeling comfortable talking to her about pretty much anything.All of the family is close to Uni and feel a strong connection to her. None of the kids really have any problems with her or anything she does, aside from Marco who has issues with their parents in general (and even then, it's not like he hates her or anything). She's able to connect with Sly a lot because she had really similar experiences to him in her youth and they talk about art stuff together.

Uni doesn't like dwelling on things that have come and gone. Thinking about bad things that happened in the past can cause her to spiral, so she much prefers to lie to herself and pretend like those things never happened, whether it's arguments or bad things with her kids or... other things...

Empathetic[]

Uni is really good at connecting with and understanding others experiences and empathizing with them and making them feel comfortable and supported. She's good at comfort and advice and is never pushy when trying to help people, and will give them space if they need it.

Fearing unknowns[]

Uni has really bad fears of uncertainties. She's terrified of change and not knowing the outcomes of situations, and being presented with things that she isn't sure how they will go is terrifying to her. This is the root of her fears of things like aliens - they could be anything..

Ally[]

Uni has a very special bond with Ally. Ally came out of the closet in Kindergarten, and Uni felt very happy that Ally wouldn't live in the closet as long as she did and tries very hard to make sure Ally always feels comfortable expressing herself, living vicariously. She can't handle engaging with Ally's interest in aliens but it doesn't make problems between them, she still is glad Ally is happy.

Norma[]

Uni is really close with Norma. She knows about Norma feeling out of place amongst her siblings and is always trying to do everything she can to make sure Norma feels like she belongs and that she always has a home with both her and Carrie's families. She does feel a little concern over Eve's influence over her, but she can see better than others that Norma isn't acting mean in a genuine way, it's just acting to please Eve.

Frosty[]

Uni feels badly about the issues that Frosty struggles with, not just his illness but the fact he doesn't have magic like Ally and Cream do. She tries to encourage them with all their passions and help them see that they still have a special kind of magic, even if it's not the same - loving things and caring about other people. That'll always be the best kind of magic anyone can have.

Uni loves to see what Chem gets up to in their hobbies and thinks Chem is very bright and smart and capable of a lot. She loves seeing them be so passionate and is very glad that Chem has such a consistently good relationship with everyone in the family and everyone they know. She wants them to always be happy with where they are and who they are.

Berry[]

Berry has some mannerisms to him that really remind Uni of her father, Pop, beyond just his interests. They have a similar simple way of interacting with the world compared to others, and it actually is really heartwarming to Uni and she loves seeing that in her son. She loves to see what he's up to and hear what he has to say.
